DEPARTMENT OF NURSING & MIDWIFERY

In line with its vision of providing quality higher education grounded in Islamic principles, fostering innovation, creativity, and ethical leadership in Ghana and beyond, the Islamic University College has established the Department Nursing and Midwifery. The Department currently runs MSc. Critical
Care Nursing programme with the aim of preparing nurses with the specialized knowledge, technical skills, and emotional resilience necessary to provide exceptional care to critically ill patients and contribute to positive patient outcomes within intensive care and critical care units. The general aim of Critical Care Nursing is to provide specialized, high-quality care to critically ill patients, ensuring their stability, comfort, and recovery within intensive care
settings. The programme is affiliated to the Iran University of Medical Sciences, which is among the top three universities of medical sciences in Iran. Plans are afoot to introduce BSc. Nursing and Midwifery programme in February 2025.
