Amidst an atmosphere of exuberance and accomplishment, the Islamic University College,
Ghana (IUCG) celebrated its 20 th graduation ceremony and 25 th matriculation on Saturday, April
27, 2024.
The highlight of the event was the conferral of degrees upon 181 graduates from the Class of
2023, representing various academic disciplines.
Under the theme “Nurturing Creativity in an Age of Artificial Intelligence: the Academy,
Industry, and Government,” the ceremony underscored the importance of fostering innovation
and adaptability in a rapidly evolving technological landscape.
It emphasized the collaborative efforts required between educational institutions, industries, and
government bodies to navigate the challenges and opportunities presented by artificial
intelligence.
Students from diverse departments, including the Religious Studies Department, the

graduating students to celebrate their academic achievements.
Dr. Ezzat commended the graduating class for their perseverance, determination, and passion,

The Islamic University College, Ghana (IUCG), marked a historic milestone as it hosted its 20 th
graduation ceremony and 25 th matriculation congregation on April 27, 2024.
The campus in Accra witnessed an inspiring gathering under the theme: “Nurturing Creativity in
the Age of Artificial Intelligence: The Academy, Industry, and Government.”
Dr. Hussein I. Ibrahim, Vice President of Academic Affairs, delivered a poignant address,
expressing gratitude to esteemed guests from Ghana and the Islamic Republic of Iran for their
presence amidst their busy schedules.
The ceremony commemorated the significant achievements of both the graduating class of the
2022/2023 academic year and the incoming cohort of students for the current academic session.
Dr. Ibrahim highlighted the diversity among the graduating class, thereby announced that 181
students successfully completed their studies, with a balanced representation of 42% male and
58% female students.
He commended their dedication and perseverance, acknowledging their acquisition of
knowledge not only in academic subjects but also in matters relating to faith, service, and
interpersonal relationships.
